The Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Mr. Antonis Paschalides spoke at the presentation, stating that:

“Today marks the beginning of a new era for Cyprus tourism and the successful cooperation between the state and private sectors”.

Mr. Paschalides also added that “the Marina works are expected to be completed by Autumn 2012. The success of this project is a given, with manifold benefits for Cyprus and its tourism as a whole. This government is developing and delivering projects to the island.” In his closing statement, Mr. Paschalides thanked all those who contributed to the fruition of the government’s objectives.

Mr. Marios E. Lanitis, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Limassol Marina Ltd, also spoke:

“The Limassol Marina project is without a doubt the biggest investment made in Cyprus, at a total estimated cost of €350m.”

Addressing the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Mr. Lanitis added: “We Cypriot businessmen have a vision for an improved Cyprus, which is why we invest in our country.”

Mr. Takis Palekythritis, Limassol Marina’s General Manager, then presented the project and announced that sales of the Nereids Residences have begun.  In his speech, Mr. Palekythritis stated:

“The Nereids Residences do not simply offer luxury aparments with uninterrupted sea and Marina views, but the opportunity to experience a new way of life – Living on the Sea”.

Μια πρωτόγνωρη σε εντυπώσεις ατμόσφαιρα, έζησαν στις 5 Ιουλίου, στο Ξενοδοχείο Amathus στη Λεμεσό, οι προσκεκλημένοι στην επίσημη πρώτη παρουσίαση του έργου Limassol Marina, με την ευκαιρία της έναρξης των εργασιών του έργου και την επίσημη εξαγγελία πωλήσεων του πρώτου από τα οικιστικά συγκροτήματα τα οποία θα αναπτυχθούν στη Μαρίνα Λεμεσού.

Κατά την έναρξη της εκδήλωσης, ο Υπουργός Εμπορίου, Βιομηχανίας και Τουρισμού κ. Αντώνης Πασχαλίδης, απηύθυνε χαιρετισμό όπου μεταξύ άλλων, υπεγράμμισε και τα εξής:

« Σήμερα είναι μέρα επιτυχίας για τον Κυπριακό Τουρισμό. Σήμερα είναι ημέρα επιτυχημένης συνεργασίας Κράτους και Ιδιωτικού τομέα», προσθέτοντας ότι «τα λιμενικά έργα της Μαρίνας αναμένονται να ολοκληρωθούν το φθινόπωρο του 2012. Η επιτυχία θεωρείται δεδομένη και τα οφέλη της Κύπρου για τον τουρισμό αναμένονται να είναι πολλά. Η Κυβέρνηση αυτή υλοποιεί, πράττει και παραδίδει έργα στον τόπο». Κλείνοντας ο κ. Πασχαλίδης ευχαρίστησε όλους τους συντελεστές που διαδραμάτισαν σημαντικό ρόλο στην επίτευξη των στόχων της κυβέρνησης.

Σε ομιλία του ακολούθως, ο Πρόεδρος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου της Εταιρείας Limassol Marina Ltd κ. Μάριος Ε. Λανίτης, μεταξύ άλλων δήλωσε και τα ακόλουθα:

«Το Έργο της Μαρίνας Λεμεσού,  αποτελεί αναμφίβολα τη μεγαλύτερη επένδυση κυπριακών συμφερόντων με το συνολικό κόστος ν’  ανέρχεται στα 350 εκ. ευρώ» Απευθυνόμενος εξάλλου, στον Υπουργό Εμπορίου, Βιομηχανίας και Τουρισμού, ο κ. Λανίτης είπε: « Εμείς, οι Κύπριοι Επιχειρηματίες οι οποίοι έχουμε το δικό μας Όραμα για μια καλύτερη Κύπρο και επενδύουμε στη χώρα μας, ζητούμε τη θετική σας ανταπόκριση στο αίτημά μας, για αποδέσμευση από τη γραφειοκρατία».

Στη συνέχεια τον λόγο έλαβε ο Γενικός Διευθυντής του Έργου κ. Τάκης Παλαικυθρίτης, ο οποίος αφού παρουσίασε το Έργο, ανάφερε ότι έχει ξεκινήσει η διάθεση διαμερισμάτων στο συγκρότημα Nereids Residences. Μεταξύ άλλων δήλωσε και τα εξής: «Το συγκρότημα Nereids Residences προσφέρει όχι απλά υπερπολυτελή διαμερίσματα με απρόσκοπτη θέα προς τη θάλασσα και τη Μαρίνα αλλά και την ευκαιρία να ζήσεις τη μοναδική εμπειρία ενός νέου τρόπου ζωής-Living on the Sea».

Is Your Website an “Online Business Card or Brochure” Type Website?

I hope this short article will start making you the website owner think and consider that your website is an asset.

It’s Friday, my tolerance levels are low and my desperation with a client drove me up the wall today.

However I again came to the realization that 99% of companies have websites that fall into the same category.

Some website owners don’t seem to get it!

• Their websites aren’t doing anything for them!
• Their websites are only “Online Business Cards”.
• Their websites are “Online Brochures”.

Their websites should be like “living organisms” it has to be continually fed with information that attract potential customers. A good example of a website that has a life of it’s own is www.lawcyprus.org – this client continually publishes valuable articles and content.

If you have a website and it is doing nothing for you then the chances are that you have a “Business Card” or “Brochure” type website. It is good to have a website however if you don’t market the website on the internet it will do nothing for you.

I really feel sorry for website owners that have a website built and think that it stops there. To top it off, some people I come across can’t even understand that one has to pay for webhosting to have a website on the internet, we have to educate clients.

I am getting to the point that I don’t even want to fix websites for companies anymore! All they have to do is give me the opportunity or the freedom to build another website that has a life of it’s own and has more value than just an online business card or brochure.

Please know this, your website is an asset, it can work for you, take care of your website and in return it will take care of your business.

I am being bombarded with emails everyday from SEO companies guaranteeing me higher rankings in Google.

When we search in Google we find thousands of SEO companies all promising success.

Who can we believe? This is a common problem every person that owns a website is faced with.

Each of us has a search phrase we want to be found for in Google.

• This week I thought about ways to turn our potential market on its head.
• How do we turn an intangible internet service into a tangible product?
• “We must supply the car not the brochure”
• The objective must be to turn our intangible internet service into a “tangible product” (A blog that is live and ranking for your search phrase.)
• The client must be under no obligation to buy the product after it ranks in Google, however if they choose to do so we must be able to sell it to them.

This is what we came up with:-

1. We are a business and have to make a turnover, however we need 100% satisfied clients. We have to supply live and ranking blogs to them.
2. The client supplies us with a three to five word search phrase they wish to rank for in Google.
3. We at no initial cost to the client will start a search engine optimized blog targeting their search phrase.
4. Over the next couple of weeks, we will try our utmost to get this blog to rank in the top 20 search results of Google.
5. Where are we going to make our money?
   Should we be successful we will contact the client and offer this blog to them for a fee of €1000 Euros and a small monthly charge of €46 Euros to cover the cost of hosting and support.

MISSING OUR INTERNET MARKETING FOCUS IS SO EASY

• We tend to become engrossed with all the “online toys” punted by thousands of people hoping to make money online.
• What are some of these “online toys”? A couple of examples are Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Viral Networkers, Ecademy, etc.
• Just like electronic game addiction many people are becoming addicted to these “online toys”, it seems that they are filling an emotional and/or psychological void for the addicts.

GETTING BACK TO WHAT IS IMPORTANT

In this article I have included not all the questions; however some thought provoking questions you and only you can answer.

• Is it not time for you to perhaps take stock of your business, situation and online activities?
• What business are you really in? It is very likely that you are in an off-line business in the tangible world but you are utilizing too much time playing with intangible toys online.
• Should you not start thinking of ways that your website and online activities can directly enhance the smooth running and success of your tangible off-line business?
• If you are trying to generate leads for your product or service take a look at your website and ask yourself – “Does my website call the website visitor in to action by completing and online form?” Would I myself complete the online lead generation form if I was the website visitor?

ARE WE ADDICTED TO OUR WEBSITE(S)? – IS OUR VALUABLE TIME BEING ROBBED?

Example:-

• If you are a real estate agent your main business function is to sell real estate, however over time you have researched, studied and learnt some search engine optimization and internet marketing skills and/or you have some ability in building and managing a website and/or blogs.
• Now it is very likely that you are spending about 50% of your valuable time in trying to get your website to ranking in Google and other search engines.

BACKGROUND

We publish many articles, press releases and blog posts for clients.

We have found that if you have more than two outbound links in your text that the search engine ranking and priority of your blog post gets downgraded.

SOLUTION

1. Write shorter articles which point to the complete article located on your main website.
2. Place one contextual anchor link within the first sentence of the blog post. This ensures that if another website syndicates your RSS Feed that your main anchor link will appear on the syndicating website.
3. Make sure that the title of the blog post contains the main “anchor link phrase” – The title of this blog post contains the phrase “Internet Marketing” and the first outbound anchor link is on the phrase “Internet Marketing” which is pointing to one of our website EuropeInternetMarketing.com.
4. And if you must, you can place one outbound link at the end of the post that gives credit to the author.
5. Schedule your blog posts – WordPress offers you the option to schedule your blog posts – Depending on how many blog posts you have to publish, try to schedule the publication for one a day or every second day
